Hello friends! If you’ve been following me on Snapchat or Instagram, you may have noticed it’s been a busy month. I spent four wonderful days in Carmel, California for a crafting summit where I soaked up inspiration, spent time with friends, enjoyed delicious food, and took in the coastal scenery. I got home on a Wednesday and packed again for Maui, so the last few weeks have been full of travel. Between trips I worked on a bunch of Halloween projects to share. Today I’m excited to share a simple, fast Halloween treat you can make for a classroom party or hand out on Halloween night. These jack-o-lantern lollipops are adorable, inexpensive, and quick to assemble—perfect as a Halloween party favor or classroom giveaway. Using basic supplies like orange lollipops and black vinyl or stickers, you can make a festive treat in under ten minutes!

Jack-O-Lantern Lollipops
These jack-o-lantern lollipops are a practical and charming Halloween craft. They’re great for sending to school, arranging in a party favor display, or placing in a bowl for trick-or-treat visitors. The project uses minimal supplies and can be adapted for kids of all ages. Below are the supplies, step-by-step instructions, and a few tips for customizing the look to suit your event.
Supplies:
Orange lollipops (available at party stores or in bulk online)
Black vinyl or pumpkin face stickers
Cricut or other cutting machine (optional) or pre-cut stickers
Transfer tape (if using vinyl)
Printable tags or small gift tags for labeling
Twine or ribbon for tying tags

Step one: Choose your face design. If you have a cutting machine like a Cricut, select a pumpkin face cut file that fits your lollipop size. I used a Jack Skellington–inspired pumpkin face from a Halloween cartridge and sized it to about 1.5 inches across to match my lollipop. If you don’t have a cutting machine, look for pumpkin face stickers in the sticker aisle or the Halloween section of a craft store—these work just as well and save time.
Step two: Cut the vinyl or peel the stickers. For vinyl, set your cutting machine to the proper vinyl setting and cut your designs. Use transfer tape to lift the vinyl design from its backing, then position it carefully on the rounded surface of each lollipop. Smooth the vinyl from the center outward to reduce bubbles and ensure it adheres well. If you’re using stickers, simply peel and stick, pressing firmly so the sticker conforms to the lollipop’s shape.

Step three: Add finishing touches. Tie a small printable tag or handwritten label around the lollipop stick using twine or ribbon. Tags can include a short Halloween message, a child’s name for classroom distribution, or a simple “Happy Halloween!” greeting. If you want to add extra flair, attach a tiny leaf-shaped sticker or green ribbon to suggest a pumpkin stem.
These took only minutes to make and will be perfect treats to send to my son’s kindergarten class. The entire process is scalable—make a handful for a small gathering or dozens when preparing for a classroom party or neighborhood trick-or-treaters.
Tips for success:
- Work on a flat, clean surface to avoid fingerprints on the vinyl or stickers.
- If you’re applying vinyl to a rounded surface, score the backing gently and warm the vinyl with your hands to make it more flexible.
- Use food-safe lollipops and avoid placing any adhesives on the candy itself if the wrapper has been removed; keep the design on the wrapped surface for safety.
- Customize faces for variety—try smiling pumpkins, surprised pumpkins, or spooky jack-o-lantern expressions to make a whimsical mix.
