“I wanted to share the dessert table I put together for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. Her party theme was giraffes, and I handmade everything myself, including the cake stands. Because giraffes can sometimes feel a little more boyish as a party theme, I wanted to add soft, feminine details throughout the table. I used pink flowers as a centerpiece, added pink bows around the bases of the giraffe head cakes, and chose pink ruffled cupcake wrappers to give the display a girly touch. The table was a huge hit with everyone. We served chocolate-dipped marshmallows on sticks, chocolate-dipped pretzel rods, cookies, cake, cupcakes, and jellybeans. The color scheme of golden yellow, pink, and turquoise was also very popular. For the dessert table menu and the jellybean bag toppers, I kept everything coordinated with the giraffe theme by using a giraffe-print background and pink or turquoise lettering.”
